We want to make families aware that we have had several near-miss incidents in our parking lots this month. Even one is too many. To protect all students, families, and staff, we are asking everyone to follow our established safety expectations without exception.
Parking Lot Safety Expectations
Drive slowly at all times on school grounds.
Stay off cell phones while driving.
Never pass another vehicle on the passenger side. Students sometimes exit from that side — passing can cause a serious accident.
Wait for a staff member before students enter or exit vehicles.
Use only the Route 214 entrance during arrival and dismissal to keep traffic flow consistent.
Why This Matters
These procedures protect our community during the busiest and most vulnerable moments of the school day. When everyone follows them, students remain safe and traffic runs efficiently.
