This Saturday, volunteers, parents, students, families, school staff, and district personnel working alongside our playground contractors brought to life our new playscape at Juliet Long. We are excited about how our community came out to support this endeavor from its initial planning almost two years ago, through fundraising efforts, demolition of the old playscape in early July, and finally building. We're excited because the playground's design will provide our students with plenty of activities and engagement. We cannot wait to see the look on our students' faces.
We are not 100% open for business yet. The next step is to establish a poured-place rubber surface. To prepare the site for this surface, we are looking for any volunteers to help tomorrow, August 12th, after 9:00. We need all the shovels, rakes, and willing volunteers to help spread crushed gravel underneath and around our new playground. Just show up!
Once this step is done, the playground contractors can apply the rubber surface. We are getting closer and closer!
Thank you again for all the support from the school community and the greater community at large!
